Do I need to pay anything to participate?
No. This is fully funded so you won’t need to pay a thing.
How will this impact on my ability to care?
We’re designing this initiative in a way that allows you to fully participate, and still be able to fulfil your caring duties:
- Most activities can be done from home
- We can help you arrange respite care if you need it, to allow you to participate in person from time to time
- We’ll stay under your 25 hours a week entitlement to work or study
- You won’t need to access any more than seven of your annual 63 days of TCC (Temporary Cessation of Care)
I’ll need help to arrange respite care so that I have time to join in. How do I do this?
Contact us to discuss this further and we’ll be able to provide some suitable options.
This program sounds amazing. Are there any catches?
No. Launchme for Young Carers is being delivered by Good Shepherd Microfinance in partnership with Carers Victoria so you know it’s been designed with you in mind.
